Blanket Progress Check One!

Week one of blanket making is over - let's see how far we got...
7 x 6" sqaures! On track! Below I've put each square, and the pattern I used if you'd like it too!

 Pattern from here.
This was the first square I did, using part of this lovely pattern from the Creative Penny. I stopped 6 rows in, and finished off with my own row of granny square style stitches as I'd reached 6 inches.

I love the cluster stitches on rows 3 and 4!

No pattern here, just your usual granny square with a row of double crochets to finish off.

Again, no pattern for this, I did alternating rows of half treble and treble crochet with chains, and bordered it to bring it up to 6 inches.

Finally, my first big squares! I did deviate from the pattern after the v stitch row, but it's now a nice foot square. It's a bit bumpy, but I hope blocking will sort that, fingers crossed. The leaf stitches were a challenge, but I like the extra interest they add.

So, that's week one of my blanket. I'm not sure if I'll keep up the pace, but here's hoping!
See you next week for the next lot!
